Meet the Librarian!

Hello Parents,

My name is Mrs. Jeannie  Brock. I have been teaching for 18 years. However, this is my first year as the school librarian. I have extensive education in language arts and have even written some state testable items for middle school and high school state tests. I began my teaching career at Holly Springs Intermediate School in 2006. I feel like I am back at home teaching again in the Holly Springs School District. I absolutely love being the School Librarian. I get the opportunity to motivate and educate the children of the Holly Springs School District. I absolutely love reading and get to share the importance of reading to our students. I enjoy seeing our students grow academically! I am really stressing for the students to read more, because the more they read the better they will perform in ALL subjects. I am giving the students an incentive by treating each student that gets a specific number of points each nine weeks.  Please encourage your child to read at least 30 minutes daily. This will help them tremendously.  I am looking forward to serving you and your child this school year. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at jbrock@hssdk12.org or you can call the school.
